Our Story
Upon remodeling a house in the Bay Area after the Loma Prieta earthquake, Ron and Del Vanderpan found that the pre-hung doors they were buying were in pretty bad shape. From store to store, lumber yard to lumber yard, they were finding the same thing. What once was likely a nice looking product was now a scarred shell of itself and often needed significant repair in order to install it properly.
They soon put their engineering and plastics backgrounds to work to devise various components that could be affixed to a door in order to inexpensively protect it and keep it closed and secure during transport. They found that there clearly were more cost-effective packaging solutions available than the traditional use of scrap lumber, cardboard and nails. Two short years later, DOORFRAMER, Inc. was born!
Today, DOORFRAMER produces over thirty different products, carefully designed and manufactured in the USA to keep your doors and now windows looking just as good when they arrive at the job site as they did when they left your plant. With two production facilities, we deliver promptly so you will always have the product you need, when you need it, in the United States or internationally!
